Klaus H. Nottinger (Board of Advisors)

Mr. Nottinger brings extensive oleochemical industry experience to National Capital's Chemicals Group. He spent more than 30 years with Henkel KGaA, Germany and its spin-offs Cognis, Cognis Oleochemicals and EMERY Oleochemicals. Klaus is currently Managing Director of OLEOCONSULT in Germany, an international consulting company serving global clients in the areas of Natural Oils and Fats as feedstock, Fatty Acids, Fatty Alcohols, Glycerine, Methylesters and other Oleochemical Derivatives. His experience also covers renewable energy including biodiesel and bioliquids.

Previously, Klaus has held senior marketing and sales positions with Henkel, Cognis and Emery. In his last position at Emery he served as Vice President Sales & Marketing for Emery Oleochemicals GmbH in Germany and as Global Head for Emery’s Plastic Additives business. His turnover responsibility exceeded US$ 600 million. Besides major European assignments, Klaus served as Business Director for Emery in Cincinnati, Ohio as well as global Key Account Director for Cognis’ Unilever business.

Klaus studied business administration at Henkel KGaA, Germany. He participated in management courses at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Klaus has held active roles in the SDA (Soap & Detergent Association) and APAG/CEFIC (European Oleochemicals Producers Association). He was also actively involved in the foundation of Emery Oleochemicals Malaysia, the acquisition of Emery Industries, USA by Henkel and the carve-out and foundation of Cognis/Emery Oleochemicals.
