Ada C. Nielsen (Board of Advisors)
Ada Nielsen is Manager of Commercial Development & Licensing for the Nitriles Business Unit of BP Amoco Chemicals. Before she joined Amoco in 1997, she founded Capstone International to specialize in opportunity analysis, business development, strategic marketing, technology transfer, market and competitive analysis, and worked in marketing, sales, and finance positions for Fortune 500 companies.
Having served as Vice-Chairman of Education for the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) Society from 2001-2002, she is now a trustee of LES/USA-Canada.
Ada currently serves as President of the Commercial Development and Management Association (CDMA) as well as President of the Chicago Chapter and formerly Chairman of the CDMA Educational Foundation. She is a member of the American Chemical Society, Association for Corporate Growth, Association of University Technology Managers, European Chemicals Marketing & Strategy Association, Product Development and Marketing Association, Strategic Management Association, and Technology Managers Association of Chicago.
She earned an A.B. in chemistry from Wellesley College, an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and has studied theoretical physical chemistry in graduate programs at Tulane University and Dartmouth College.
