Peter Acton (Board of Advisors)

Mr. Acton has nearly 40 years experience in the chemical industry with extensive experience in sales, marketing, strategic planning, and general management. He has led a number of global specialty and commodity chemical businesses for Fortune 500 companies ( Allied Signal, Union Camp, and International Paper ). Much of his experience over the last 15 years has been in turning around underperforming global chemical businesses with sales of $300-700 million. In his position as Vice President and General Manager he not only led the return to profitability for these companies but also led a number of acquisition and divestiture teams, several of which were international.

Since 2003 he has led his own consulting practice conducting business with specialty and commodity chemical companies.

Mr. Acton is a Chemical Engineer from St. Lawrence College.
